Gilt bronze, size 8 3/4. 4.4mm width band of well rounded section with raised edges flanking a central band intricately hand engraved with panels of rectangles and diamonds accented with tiny triangles or piques. See Medieval Jewelry in Europe 1100-1550, V & A Museum, pl.4 for the Fishpool hoard (England and France, 1100-1160) for very similar examples. Fine crisp preservation. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
