VIKING WOMAN'S BRACELET C.900-1050 AD
2 1/2" inside dimension which easily fits an average woman. C form, slightly tapered from its center to the ends. Gilt bronze, flat section with slightly tapering ends. Rectangular center panel flanked by segments, each with a large X hand punched, the terminals each with matching segment. The center panel had a design, deliberately obliterated probably for a funerary ritual. It was common for Vikings to have their possessions including jewelry broken or otherwise ritually “killed" for burial. Quite crisp and professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored and Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
