Gilt bronze, size 6 1/4 with 2.6mm rounded face band expanding to the shoulders which are engraved in hearts. Rectangular bezel with profuse Arabic inscription. See Ancient Rings, Polio, p.91 for examples of this form dating to the Middle Ages and worn by Christians and Muslims both. As found condition with fine patina and considerable gold preserved in the decoration. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
