Rare variation of deeply rounded, hollow back form, perhaps for inclusion of a sacred relic or object. Just under 1” (0.94”) height including the suspension loop. The center with a raised figure, perhaps a clover, now obscured from degradation from burial. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Mold made by the lost wax process. The surface with texture from burial.
