These small globular pendants were popular among common women in ancient Rome. Some have been described as prostitutes’ pendants and that view is widely published on the internet. This example is pyramidal form, 2.8mm (over ¼”) width. It has been professionally refurbished with the silver surface restored. It is suspended on a Sterling silver neck chain for modern wear and is jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
