Gilt bronze. Over 1 1/4” width. Stylized heart form with the exaggerated sides as two hearts top to top with nubs describing a saltire. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature.
