Just under 1 1/8" width. Bronze, cast, and chased in detail as the crescent moon with raised edges and triple nub terminals representing Sol the sun and Mani the moon. The field with triple circles repeated within chevrons. The field beyond with distinctively different motifs. One with hatched motif and the other with a tear or leaf shape. That dissimilarity evidently had a spiritual significance, now lost. Vikings relied on the heavens and celestial bodies for guidance when sailing. The 24karat gold overlay is restored, for modern wear on a modern gilt 18” neck chain. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
