Charm size. Just ½” height plus the loop. The Viking heart in its fully developed form with a top formed by the scroll terminals of the broad borders which extend into the field forming a trefoil with V or arrowhead base. Substantial with high relief decoration, produced by the open face mold technique. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Surface textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored on an 18” gilt Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
