Rare variation, under 1” height (0.95”) with inverted crescent moon suspended from a rounded diamond form mount. The field asymmetrically decorated in elegant feathery motifs. The crescent edge with three nubs. The meaning is unclear. Perhaps it represents a celestial event or concurrence which would have had supernatural significance for Vikings.
