Gilt bronze, size 4 3/4. 2.3mm rounded face band flaring slightly to the shoulders. Large domed bezel of cabochon form superficially imitates a gemstone and blatantly advertises the intentions of the wearer. Roman prostitutes were typically adolescents, largely slaves. Prostitution was practiced openly with brothels sometimes sharing doors with libraries. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
