Size 2 1/2 for the small finger as was the custom. Prostitutes in the Roman Empire were very young and often slaves. Rounded band, 3.0mm, flaring slightly to the shoulders. The top with garish pyramidal bezel emulates the stone of the quality rings worn by cultured women. Light surface textured from burial. Prostitution was practiced openly in ancient Rome and some of the best evidence is in the remains of Pompeii. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored.
