Good quality with 2.1mm rounded face band flaring to the waisted shoulders. Lenticular bezel cut with a low rounded face with remnants of a design, serving as a signet which identified the owner and could be used to seal legal matters. (In Ben Hur, the title character identifies himself by stamping Messala’s tablet with his ring which bears the signet of Quintus Arrius). Worn from use and professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift box with Certificate of Authenticity.
