5/8” height. Iconic wide form with two medial nubs to the lower quarters and central incised foliate design. Foliate designs were favored by Vikings and incorporated into about half of heart pendants. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Professionally refurbished with the gold overlay restored and mounted on a modern gilt neck chain for contemporary wear.
