Classic heart form. Small size 0.51” width, just over ½”. Domed shape with the heart with nubs in the middle, in silhouette. Made without further detail. The surface is worn from use and lightly textured from burial. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, and integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold restored on a gilt 18” neck chain for modern wear.
