ELEGANT EASTERN EUROPEAN CHRISTIAN CROSS, 18th CENTURY

Russia/Ukraine. Gilt bronze, 2” in height. Fine with cross beam above center and trefoil beam terminals as with the Jerusalem cross of the crusades. The front with crenulated borders and a low relief vacant skeletal cross. The reverse with Cyrillic inscriptions. The surface is textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored and on a modern 18” gilt Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift box with Certificate of Authenticity.
