Gilt bronze, under ¾” (0.72”) plus the suspension loop. Shield shape and incorporating armorial elements including the fleur-de-lys which forms the top. The bottom with a further device, perhaps a beetle. Excellent preservation with the 24karat gold surface restored on an 18” gilt neck chain for modern wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity. Worn to distinguish the wearer as a member of the upper or noble class.
