Fine example in its fully evolved form. Over 7/8” in height. Fully evolved heart form with a very broad border and a heart within surrounded by another border, the sides scrolling at the top and forming the cusp. A heart within a heart! The center with a trefoil. Made by the lost wax mold technique For Vikings, the heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the warrior. It is said that Hrungnir, with whom Thor dueled (assisted by a sorceress), had a heart of stone. Professionally refurbished with pure silver restored, on a Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
