FINE EASTERN EUROPEAN CROSS NECKLACE, 16TH-17TH CENTURY

Orthodox rite, Ukrainian or Russian. Gilt bronze, just over 1 3/8” (1.42”) height. Delicate beams, the front with an incised cross and Cyrillic ciphers at the beam terminals. The reverse with 5 vignettes surrounding an inscription at the junction. Surface worn and textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat surface restored, mounted on an 18” gilt Sterling silver neck chain for modern wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
