Gilt bronze, size 3 for wear on the small finger between the first two joints, as was the custom. Deeply rounded face band, with the Roman nub on the bottom. 2.6mm width. Pyramidal bezel on broad flat base, in imitation of the stone on a woman’s fashion ring. Roman prostitutes were typically adolescents, largely slaves. Prostitution was practiced openly with brothels sometimes sharing doors with libraries. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
