15th-17th Century AD. Gilt bronze, with a 2.3mm width band, rounded on the bottom flaring slightly to the shoulders. Round bezel with a quatrefoil which is probably a reference to the cross. See Ancient Rings, Pollio, p.30 for this type. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. See the reference image which shows the process.
