Late Roman/Byzantine period representing the late Imperial, fall of Rome and beginning of the Dark ages. Gilt bronze with the 24karat gold restored. 2.7mm deeply rounded band with the Roman nub to the bottom. Oval bezel with five lateral bars and further detail, obscured by degradation from burial.
