Gilt bronze, just under 1" total height. The crossbeam is centered with a square. The beams with central incised flared beams as used later by the Knights of Malta. Thus, two crosses in one. The back with recessed to enclose a sacred relic such as the hair of a saint and be sealed. Surface degradation from burial.  Professionally refurbished with 24karat gold surface restored, on an 18” modern gilt Sterling silver neck chain. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
