Byzantine, (the remnants of the Roman Empire) of Christian type. Gilt bronze, rare size 12 with 2.4mm rounded face band flaring to the shoulders. Octagonal bezel cut with borders enclosing a floral motif. The figure is similar to and likely derived from the earlier representations of the Star of Bethlehem. Excellent preservation with the details crisp. The 24karat gold surface restored and gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
