A Viking amulet shaped like a heart in its natural (uncusped) form. Over 5/8” (0.68”) height plus the suspension loop. Flat, the field bordered and with a representation of the Star of Bethlehem as found on Medieval Christian rings. The image is unmistakable, but the significance is strictly decorative. Vikings were pagan, but well known to use Christian symbols, particularly the cross, for decoration. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored on an 18” Sterling silver 18” neck chain for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
