Size 7 1/4. Rounded face band 3.1mm width at the bottom and swelled to the shoulders. Lozenge shaped bezel with a design originally, now obscured from burial. This ring would have distinguished its owner as a member of the merchant and noble class. It was a fashion accessory and the faux signet was not intended to deceive, but simply a statement of status and class. Particularly elegant form. Light surface textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
