Classic heart form. 3/4" height plus the suspension loop. Central high domed heart in its fully evolved form with cusped top, beaded surround and stepped base forming a border. The cusp bridged with another forming a pierced heart within a heart! The sixth points are nubbed as is common. That feature evidently had spiritual significance, now lost. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, and integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored on a gilt Sterling silver 18” neck chain for modern wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
