RARE VIKING WEDDING RING, 10TH-11TH CENTURY AD, SIZE 11 1/4
9th century, Cambridgeshire, England. Bronze, with rounded face and of 3.4mm width. Made with a central core to distribute the molten metal and heat. The core was then laboriously removed by hand with the remnants still visible. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom’s sword. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
