Slightly under 1 1/8" height including the suspension loop. Bronze, cast, and chased in minute detail as the crescent moon with baluster tips representing Sol the sun and Mani the moon. Beaded line borders. The top double and surmounted by three pelleted triangles, a popular Viking motif. Viking worship involved the heavenly bodies on which they relied for guidance when sailing. Fine quality. Excellent condition with the 24karat gold overlay restored and mounted on a modern gilt neck chain for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
