Gilt bronze. Just over 7/8 (0.93”) in width. Low rounded section of exaggerated form with the cusp curved and nubbed quarter points. Central motif of a heart within raised borders. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, and integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature.
