Large example over ¾” (0.85”) plus the suspension loop. The broad edge of a crenulated band flanked by raised borders. Fine trefoil or fleur-de-lis centered. Made by the open face mold technique. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, and integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Surface textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored on an 18” gilt Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
