About 7/8" height plus the suspension loop. Crescent form tapering sharply from the swelled middle. Gilt bronze with slightly raised circular bezel inscribed with a sun burst. The shoulders with further radial decoration Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity. As expert navigators, the constellations signified mystery and power to Vikings. The Moon was personified as Mani, brother to Sol the Sun, and is abundantly represented in Norse literature. Lunar pendants were worn as pectorals as well as suspended from belts, other clothing, and horse harnesses.
