Gilt bronze, oval form of roped or twisted section with the ends in delicate vertically scrolled cylinders. Just over 1 ½” (1.52”) width. Cross pin intact. Worn in numbers on the leather war jerkin, at an ounce each, a few pounds could be added providing significant protection against sword blows.
