About 1 3/8" (1.44”) height. Silvered bronze, shaped as a duck's foot with three toes and raised detail above top simulating scaly skin. A burial at Viden, Denmark contained the body of a woman of wealth and status buried with henbane seeds, which have hallucinogenic properties, and a wand as well as other objects. From these, it was concluded that she was a seeress or sorceress. The grave contained a necklace hung with three duck feet pendants very similar to this. Professionally refurbished with silver overlay and mounted on an 18” modern sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certification of authenticity.
