Cambridgeshire England, 9th-11th century AD. Gilt bronze, size 6 ½ for wear on the small finger as was the custom. 4.4mm width band with low rounded face and delicate raised edges. That form is rare but has been observed in other Viking rings. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom’s sword. Surface textured overall from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
