Cambridgeshire, England. 10th-11th century AD. Gilt bronze.  Rare size 13 1/4, 3.5mm width, with low rounded face.  Surface slightly textured from burial. Vikings exchanged rings on the pommel of the groom’s sword. Professionally refurbished with the silver overlay restored. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity. Virtually every old town in Cambridgeshire has a recorded Viking history. Ely Abbey was destroyed in 870 by Danish raiders and Huntingdon was a staging place for Danish raids until 917, to mention two. Excavated and professionally conserved with Plexiglas display mount.
