Gilt bronze, C form with well sculpted stylized duck’s head at each end. 2 7/8” (2.95”) inner dimension for a larger arm. Circular section with flattened ends and middle, each with silhouette of a duck’s head. A burial at Fyrkat, Denmark contained the body of a woman of wealth and status buried with henbane seeds, which have hallucinogenic properties, and a wand as well as other objects. From these, archeologists concluded that she was a seeress or sorceress. The grave contained a necklace hung with three duck’s feet pendants. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored, for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
