Just over 5/8” (0.65”) height plus the suspension loop. The Viking heart in its fully developed form with a full cusp top formed by the scroll terminals of the broad borders. The field with the borders continuing to form a second heart enclosing a formalized trefoil or fleur de lis. Low-rounded section, produced by the open face mold technique. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored on a gilt Sterling silver 18” neck chain for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
