Gilt bronze. Stylized form with addorsed fool’s caps forming a top (armorial?) bar. 4 nubbed triangle below the center piercing, perhaps representing the five wounds of Christ, cumulatively. Such symbolism would have been readily identified in its period of use, but is now only vaguely familiar. Just over 5/8” height. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored on an 18” modern gilt Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Jewelry gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
