Early example in its purest form. About 1/2” height plus the loop. High domed medially ridged section with modestly cusped top. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Surface degradation from burial.
