RARE CELTIC WOMAN’S BRACELET C.500-200 BC
Bronze, about 1 3/4” inside diameter. Flattened section 2.7mm thick, intricately worked in alternating sections a little over 1/4” each, plain rounded sections flanking sections with five toothed surface. The terminal plain and closed with the overlap and twist used for Celtic rings and bracelets. That closure presumably was done after the bracelet was on the wrist and along with its size, suggests that the bracelet was worn for life without removal. Minor distortion and green patina as found but the crisp detail remaining.
