Period of the spread of Spanish colonial territory with the introduction of Christianity. Just over 1” height of quaint naïve form and probably made in North America by colonial craftsmen. Broad beams with the cross beam above center and the bottom expanded and rounded.  The back plain. Surface textured from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold overlay restored, on gilt Sterling silver neck chain for contemporary wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity.
