Cambridgeshire, England, 866-1067 AD Oval form, size 6 ½.  1.9mm at the bottom swelling to 2.5mm at the top. The two thirds of deeply modeled roped motif in the full round. The spiral or helix was a favorite Viking form. Professionally refurbished with the silver overlay restored. Vikings exchanged wedding rings on the pommel of the groom’s sword. Jewelry gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
