Over 1/2” (0.59”) height plus the suspension loop. Made by the open face mold method. Heart form of slightly domed section made in three ranks. The field with a stylized pentafoil, on its delicate stipple field. The edges of S scrolls evolving into the top cusp. Crisp detail throughout. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Light surface texture from burial. Professionally refurbished with the 24karat gold surface restored on a gilt neck chain for modern wear. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
